There is a lot of option, but I can recommend North Berwick – a lovely town which is near the coastal water. The town is very accessible; you can simply take boat trips to the Scottish Seabird Centre and the Isle of May. The East Lothian Region is full of wonderful dolphins, puffins, seals, and gannets.

Dumfries, The Borders, and Galloway are the best places if you prefer less crowded destinations. These places are on the south side of Scotland. They offer majestic mountain views as well as castles on a clifftop with a view of the coast. Currently, Scotland is giving a problem with overtourism in the Edinburgh, Glen Coe, and Skye. Due to this, visitors are encouraged to explore other cities in Scotland.

There are a lot of castles in Scotland to choose from. There are famous ones like Edinburgh Castle, Campbell, Dunure, and Dunnottar. I personally like to visit clifftop castles.

The best time of the year to visit is from April to June and September to October. It is because during winter, some attractions are available to the public. Spring tends to give more sunshine and a normal temperature which is perfect for outdoor attractions. During autumn, you can get to enjoy water sports like kayaking, white water rafting, and coasteering.

Scotland celebrates a new year through the Edinburgh Hogmanay celebrations. Teenagers enjoy the party because they can meet new friends and bond with family.
